Referring to My Diagnosis History about an outbreak after a fine day’s swim, the outbreak does not only affect my face but a few days later my scalp, palms and soles were affected too.
My scalp began to flakes unbearable where it causes embarrassment because the flaking is like serious dandruffs. The flakes will not stop dropping even I did not touch my scalp. At first thought I knew it was psoriasis. When I was referred to the doctor at Gleneagles hospital, he recommended a shampoo especially for scalp psoriasis called “Sebitar Scalp Cleansing Treatment”. It is a formula specifically to treat psoriasis, eczema, seborrhea and itching scalp with a pH6.0 solutions. After several washes, my scalp conditions got better.
As for my palms and soles, the started off red and then later turned horribly dry till its cracks too. The nails began to deform especially the toe nails. The doctor prescribed “Daivonex” ointment (vitamin E) and advised to apply the ointment on the affected area and wrap it up with polyethylene to lock in the moisture. Besides I also apply Nutraplus Cream emollient fro dry, rough skin.
My conditions got better and soon recovered but I am not sure if the above products work because I was also drinking juice cocktail every morning however I believe they do help.
